One of the most intereting developments for the year was the setting-up of a relationship with a group of people living in Slovenia. Members of the Ballyduff and Ballybunion Active Retirement Groups communicate with correspondents in Slovenia by e-mail. In the summer of 2010 members of the group from Slovenia came to visit Ballyduff and Ballybunion.
Tom and Mary Allen, from Ballybunion, meet two of the visitors from Sovenia. They are regular correpondents.

Later the group met the members from Ballyduff to whom they have been writing. Here Connie O'Carroll welcomes them to the Ballyduff Family Resource Centre, which is the meeting place of Ballyduff Active Retirement Group.
